A Little Bit About Me

Well apparently, this is where I'm supposed to share a bit about me and why I do what I do.

But first, I'm pretty sure we've all come to realize there's a bit of an "elephant in the room", so let me address that issue before anything else, ... I'm referring of course, to my name.

And yes, it really, truly is Candie Caine, or rather, Candice Caine, but I totally prefer Candie. And many years I learned to live with the holiday teasing that comes along with that name.

Oh, and I should probably also mention, I'm 28 years old, very happily married, with a wonderful husband and a gorgeous 5-year-old daughter. And no, trust me, we did not name her Sugar! (But she really is such an absolute sweetie.)

Anyway, according to my mother, who for some odd reason decided to wait until I was nearly 16 years old to explain about my name, she told me it was chosen for the very simple reason that's she's an absolute Christmas freak, and it "supposedly" turned out that she and my dad just couldn't help themselves. Yeah, right! :)

Still, over the years, I really have come to understand what they did, and I've also come to more fully embrace this rather unique name combination, and oddly enough, during that time, I too became a bit of a Christmas freak, or should I say, a bit of a Christmas song freak.

So basically, that's the reason I created this website, to "show off" a few of the songs I recently recorded in my parents' home. I know they may not sound exactly perfect, but then again, I never said I was a perfect singer.

(And thank you, Daddy! What you managed to accomplish in your little ol' basement recording studio now makes you a real record producer, ... at least in my eyes!)

So, what made me up and decide to do all this? Whay an album? Why am I so bent on the singing of my own Christmas songs? Well, that's pretty simple, ... because it's something I love doing, and to be perfectly honest, I'm kind of hoping you might come to love what I do as well.

But, for now, I'd just like to wish Merry Christmas to one and to all and I totally hope you enjoy a happy and healthy holiday season this year.
